Who we are
Progressive Volunteers (PV-Kenya) is a community-based volunteer organisation working to promote community development initiatives through volunteerism in Kenya. PV-Kenya works with a team of dedicated volunteers to support sustainable solutions to community challenges in some of the most deprived and vulnerable communities, running projects through the themes of education, skills development and advocacy on thematic issues.
Progressive Volunteers operates online and local volunteering programmes by placing volunteers with local partners and opportunities and by establishing community projects and initiatives. The organization also works with other volunteer involving organisations network to champion volunteerism nationally in Kenya.
Progressive Volunteers identify needs which are not being met by organisations operating in the communities. We seek to secure funding to undertake our own projects to address the need. This approach ensure that our projects complement rather than duplicate local efforts by only tackling gaps in local aid and support.
